At the age of 15, I began to accept commission to carve wood items. Later received a BS in industrial education during which time I became a maser cabinet/furniture maker. I taught industrial education for a short period of time before entering the home construction business. I have been for many years connected to the housing industry.

In 2000 I began to plan for retirement and to pursue woodturning as a full time after retirement labor of love.

My goals are:
  1. To never attempt to copy another artist's work or duplicate my work.
  2. To assure that any item made by me is beyond doubt an original one of a kind piece of art.
  3. To offer for sale and provide an accurate representation of wood art totally fabricated by me.

I create Bowl Craft items from green wet logs that were removed as a result of storm damage. I, a native Kentuckian, use the wood of Kentucky trees to create one of a kind unique vessels. Each Bowl Craft item is an individual expression of nature through my artistic hands, therefore each creation is worthy of my signature seal. The distinct LC in the bowl craft logo are my initials. The type of wood, production number, and date are located by my signature on the bottom of each piece.

I preserve the finish of all Bowl Craft art items with hard carnaubai wax.
