Most of my paintings are done from life with any preliminary drawing done directly onto the canvas. My goal in painting is, quite simply, to improve and develop my ability to my highest potential - to become not only a better technician, but a better observer and translator of what I see. Personal circumstances over the past several years have limited my painting time; but painting for me is a learning experience that I find so fulfilling and such a part of who I am, that I always ‘need’ to paint.' Memberships: Juried member of Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen, Carter Caves Art Expo, Lexington Art League, founding member of Cave Run Arts Association, Inc. and Secretary of the Rowan County Arts Promotion Foundation Board. |
