Jewelry

As an independent artist, I consider myself fortunate for a good number of reasons, but mostly that I am proudly descended from a long line of makers and I am satisfied to find my place among them. A craft-spastic start was the first sure-sign that I had been targeted by Art, dabbling in everything from basket making and bookbinding to quilting and painting before an interest in metal took hold. It’s been an eight-year evolution, and each stage of this development has been extremely rewarding. I’ve been lucky to hover over the shoulders of many fine jewelers and have taken their training to heart. As a result, I’ve developed a style that merges careful detail, organic texture and sculptural lost-wax casting techniques to create one-of-a-kind sterling silver pieces. Each one holds a specimen-like fascination for me—a distilled exercise of vision and accomplishment—and I love to see it come to life and find a place of its own!
