Certainly, as does most woodworkers do, I'm a lover of wood. But not necessarily all woods but most of the wood you'll typically find in South Central Kentucky.

From the earlier years of my life I realized our Creator gave me a passion for creating things out of wood. I also consider my self double blessed for not only is there that passion for making "things" from wood, but it also turns out HE would plant me in a place that has an abundance of beautiful hardwoods; woods like cherry, walnut, and maple trees. I have found no need, nor do I have a desire to utilize imported wood, especially when I can achieve the beauty and design I try to incorporate into my products from these local hardwoods.

During the years 1997 through 2005 all work at my shop was Shaker style furniture made outof cherry. Hundreds of pieces of Jelly Cupboards, End & Sofa Tables, and Benches were sold to Furniture Dealers mostly in Kentucky and Tennessee. I'm still passionate about Shaker style furniture, but desiring to do something different I decided in 2005 to try something new so I started researching and developing a line of cutting boards. A refreshing change indeed! Now I get to play with natural color and beauty from these trees by designing and creating, what I hope customers will see as "useful" yet affordable pieces of art.

The joy for me in making cutting boards, lazy susans, or even benches comes in the wood selection itself. Even though there is a product line, each piece is unique because of the available variations of the wood species itself, so ususally no two pieces are exactly alike. Every cutting board, lazy susan or bench is handmade and hand finished.
