Rita Kent, upon graduating from college, took a position teaching elementary and high school art. Her teaching career spanned 13 year and allowed her to familiarize herself with many visual art forms before she opted for a career as a fine art photographer.

The scope of Ms. Kent’s subject matter is as diverse as her artistic experience. Thematically the body of her work includes of flowers, architecture and architectural detail, cars, movie theaters, old motels, nature scenes, motorcycles and the people that ride them.

Rita’s work is widely collected regionally and nationally. One of her recent photographs has been judged Best of Show in the Working Together exhibition sponsored by the Evansville, Indiana, Museum of Art and the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana.
